SENIOR CENTER PARKING LOT PROJECT

The KEC Senior Center is a vital community resource that promotes wellness, social engagement and support for our senior citizens. In partnership with the Kearney Enrichment Council (KEC), the center's programs enrich lives and provide much-needed resources to the senior community. However, the deteriorating condition of the center's parking lot presents a serious safety hazard, particularly in the winter months, with water pooling up and freezing creating unsafe conditions.

Why this project matters


The KEC Senior Center is a vital hub for exercise, meals, classes, and community—reducing isolation and supporting wellness for older adults.


The current lot creates pooling and ice hazards in winter. A full resurfacing and accessibility upgrade will make the Center safer for seniors, volunteers, and families year-round.
